Traction threads (lifting effect) and PDO threads

It is a firming treatment for mild or moderate sagging of the face mainly, although other areas can be treated (neck, abdomen, arms. Its great advantage is that it is a minimally invasive treatment, with minimal discomfort and lifting effect. There are several types of threads, both in their form and in their composition (the vast majority absorbable). There are smooth ones (with which a mesh is constructed on the face) and they are what are called “monofilament” and their composition is usually PDO (Polydioxanone). Implantation is done with topical anesthesia (cream). To achieve a good result the number of threads must be between 50 to 100 threads in total.

The spiculated or traction threads are implanted with local anesthesia and on an outpatient level, using microcanulas that carry the thread. This has some spicules (spiculated threads) that go around the whole section of thread (3D) or with small cones that are the ones that will pull the tissues at the subdermal level and produce the “stretching or lifting” of them. Its composition can be PDO (Polidoxanone), are the most used, polylactic acid polyglycolic acid, etc. These threads, apart from their tensor effect, induce the formation of type 1 and 3 collagen which contributes to a better appearance of the skin. It is of immediate effect in spiculated threads, and the results resemble a “lifting” effect, with a duration of approximately 18 months.

All Threads have the relevant sanitary authorizations.
